ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called LEGACY CARE, is looking at how offering free legal help early on can support people who are caring for loved ones with colorectal cancer. Caregivers often face a lot of stress, including financial and emotional challenges, so this study wants to see if connecting them with legal experts can make things easier. The legal help is provided by a nonprofit organization and focuses on addressing any legal or financial issues that might come up during cancer treatment.
The study is open to pairs of patients with colorectal cancer and their caregivers, especially those between the ages of 65 and 74. Participants will receive personalized legal advice and support for three months, but they can keep using these legal services even after the study ends if needed. This trial aims to find out if this kind of support is helpful and practical for families dealing with colorectal cancer.
