ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying ways to manage pain after ankle surgery using mostly non-opioid medications, like celecoxib and acetaminophen, instead of opioid painkillers such as oxycodone. The goal is to see if non-opioid medicines can control pain just as well as opioids but with fewer risks like addiction or breathing problems. The study will include 110 adults aged 18 to 65 who are having minimally invasive ankle surgery and are generally healthy without chronic pain or a history of opioid use.
If you join the study, you will be randomly assigned to receive either the non-opioid or opioid pain treatment after your surgery. Your pain levels will be checked several times during the first week, and the study team will also monitor any side effects like nausea or constipation. The researchers want to find safer ways to manage pain after ankle surgery while keeping patients comfortable. If you want to learn more or see if you qualify, you can contact the research team at Zhejiang University Second Affiliated Hospital.
