ClinConnect Summary

This study is looking at how well special animated videos help patients understand and prepare for a colonoscopy, a test that checks the inside of the colon for signs of cancer or other problems. Usually, patients get written instructions or standard videos before the test, but these can be hard to understand or not very engaging. The researchers want to see if using colorful, easy-to-follow videos in different languages can help patients better understand what they need to do to get ready, leading to a cleaner colon and a more successful procedure.

The study is open to adults aged 65 to 74 of any gender who are scheduled for a colonoscopy. If you take part, you’ll be shown either the usual information or the new animated videos before your test. The goal is to find out which method helps patients follow preparation instructions better and feel more informed. This could make the colonoscopy quicker and more accurate, helping doctors find any issues early. The study isn’t recruiting yet but aims to improve how patients learn about and prepare for this important screening.
