ClinConnect Summary
The NYU/Bellevue WTC Health Impacts Research Registry is a clinical trial aimed at understanding the health effects of exposure to dust from the World Trade Center (WTC) after the September 11 attacks. Funded by the American Red Cross, this program is designed for people who might be experiencing health issues related to this exposure. This includes local residents who lived in Lower Manhattan during and after the attacks, individuals involved in cleaning up the debris, and emergency responders who helped at the site. The goal is to gather valuable information to improve treatment and support for these affected individuals.
If you or a family member lived in Lower Manhattan at that time, helped with debris removal, or were involved in rescue operations and need ongoing medical care, you may be eligible to participate in this study. Participants will have access to evaluation and treatment programs, and your experiences will help researchers learn more about the long-term health impacts of WTC dust exposure. This study is currently recruiting individuals of all ages and genders, and it’s an opportunity to contribute to important research that could benefit many in the community.
