ClinConnect Summary
The MIZE-S clinical trial is exploring a new way to help people who have lost teeth in the back of their mouths. Traditional treatments, like implant-supported crowns and conventional bridges, can sometimes be difficult due to health issues or costs. This study specifically looks at a less invasive option called resin-bonded bridges, which require little or no alteration of the surrounding teeth. Researchers want to compare two different designs of these all-ceramic bridges to see if they perform similarly in real-life situations.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 65 and 75 years old and have missing teeth in certain areas (like the second premolar or molars). They need to be regular patients at the University Hospital of Heidelberg and willing to attend follow-up appointments. The study excludes individuals who are pregnant, have certain health problems, or have severe dental issues. Participants can expect to contribute to the understanding of these new dental options, helping to improve treatment for future patients.
