ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether taking a supplement called creatine can help improve symptoms for people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). In this study, half of the participants will take creatine, while the other half will receive a placebo, which is a sugar pill that looks the same but doesn’t contain any active ingredients. The goal is to see if creatine can make a difference in how people feel and function.
To join the trial, participants need to be over 18 years old and have been diagnosed with CFS based on specific criteria. However, people with certain mental health conditions or who have taken dietary supplements in the four weeks before the study cannot participate. The trial is currently active but not recruiting new participants. If someone does join, they can expect to take the supplement for a set period and attend regular check-ins to monitor their progress. This study is important because it could help find new ways to support those living with CFS.
