ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called Intra-Uterine Growth Restriction (IUGR), where babies in the womb are smaller than expected. Researchers will look closely at these babies, who are diagnosed as "Small for Gestational Age" (SGA), using advanced imaging techniques to monitor their brain, heart, and placenta over time. The goal is to understand how these subtle changes may affect the babies' health at birth and in early childhood. This research aims to improve how we diagnose and treat IUGR, ultimately enhancing the lives of these infants.
To participate in the study, mothers-to-be must be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosis of SGA, which means their baby's estimated weight is below the 10th percentile or their abdominal size is below the 5th percentile. During the study, participants can expect regular check-ups and imaging tests to track their baby's development. This trial is currently looking for volunteers, and it’s important to note that those with certain chromosomal conditions may not be eligible.
