ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help diagnose a condition called brucellar spondylitis, which is a type of infection that affects the spine and can lead to serious health problems if not treated early. The researchers are using a special imaging technique called DCE-MRI to look for signs of this condition in patients who have been exposed to the bacteria that cause brucellosis, a disease often linked to animals and dairy products. Early diagnosis is crucial because it can improve treatment outcomes and reduce the need for surgery.
To participate in this trial, individuals aged between 12 and 65 years old who show symptoms such as low fever, night sweats, and back pain may be eligible, provided they do not have other serious conditions like tuberculosis or cancer that affects the spine. Participants can expect to undergo imaging tests and possibly receive treatment as part of the study. This research could help doctors better identify brucellar spondylitis earlier, leading to improved care for patients.
