ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving care for Veterans who may be struggling with unhealthy alcohol use. The research is testing a method called "practice facilitation" at a VA primary care clinic. This approach aims to help doctors provide better support and treatment for alcohol-related issues. The goal is to see if this method encourages doctors to offer more effective counseling, prescribe medication for alcohol use disorder more frequently, and refer patients to specialized treatment when needed.
Veteran patients aged 18 and older who visit the VA primary care site during the trial may be eligible to participate. Primary care providers who regularly work at the clinic and screen for unhealthy alcohol use are also involved in the study. While the trial is currently active, it is not recruiting new participants at this time. Overall, participants can expect to be part of a program that aims to enhance the quality of care for alcohol-related concerns, benefiting both themselves and others in similar situations.
