ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment method for patients who have high hyperopia (farsightedness) combined with high astigmatism (a condition where the eye isn't perfectly round). This combination can be challenging to treat with traditional surgery, and many patients struggle to find effective options. The trial is looking at a technique called fresh corneal lenticule implantation, which has shown promise for improving vision and overall satisfaction for patients. The goal is to help patients see better and enjoy a better quality of life without some of the risks associated with other surgeries.
To be eligible for this trial, patients should be between 18 and 62 years old and have high hyperopia (more than +4.5 diopters) and high astigmatism (more than +3 cylinder). Additionally, their corneal thickness should be between 450 and 550 micrometers. Unfortunately, individuals with certain conditions, such as glaucoma or cataracts, will not be included in this study. Participants can expect to receive a safe and effective treatment that may help improve their vision while minimizing risks associated with other surgical options. This trial represents a potential advancement in eye surgery for those with complex vision problems.
