ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment for patients who have trouble seeing clearly after cataract surgery, specifically those who still have hyperopia (farsightedness) despite having a special type of lens implanted in their eye called a trifocal intraocular lens (IOL). The treatment involves using fresh lenticule implantation, a method that is considered safe and effective because it doesn't require creating a flap in the eye, which can lead to complications seen in other surgeries like LASIK.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must have residual hypermetropia and low visual acuity after their cataract surgery. Those with certain eye conditions or previous surgeries on the front part of their eye, like glaucoma or retinal detachment, cannot participate. If you join this trial, expect to undergo a treatment that aims to improve your vision with minimal risk compared to traditional methods. It's important to note that before receiving this new treatment, a specific laser procedure called YAG-laser capsulotomy will be performed to prepare your eye.
