ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the use of peppermint oil as a potential treatment for Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome (IC/BPS), a condition that causes chronic bladder pain and discomfort. The researchers want to see if peppermint oil can help relieve these symptoms in women who have been diagnosed with IC/BPS for at least one month.

To participate, you must be a woman between the ages of 18 and 65 who has been diagnosed with IC/BPS. However, there are some important criteria that could exclude you from joining, such as having a urinary tract infection, being pregnant or breastfeeding, or having certain medical conditions. If you are eligible and choose to participate, you will be part of a study that aims to explore a new treatment option, and you may receive peppermint oil to see if it helps your symptoms. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could contribute to important findings in the management of this condition.
