ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a guided self-help program designed to support individuals struggling with binge eating and related overeating issues. The goal is to see if this program is easy to use, well-received, and effective for those who may not have access to traditional treatments. Participants will receive a self-help book and support over the phone from trained volunteers for four months. After completing the program, they will be followed up for a year to see how they are doing.

To be eligible for the study, individuals must be at least 18 years old, have contacted the National Eating Disorder Association about their binge eating issues, and be able to read and understand English. They cannot currently be undergoing treatment for an eating disorder or have certain health conditions, such as a very low body weight or suicidal thoughts. If you join the study, you will complete a few online assessments at various points to help track your progress. This trial aims to offer a helpful option for people needing support with their eating habits and improve their overall quality of life.
