ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of physician peer coaching on burnout among doctors who work in hospitals. Burnout is a serious condition that can make doctors feel emotionally exhausted, detached from their work, and less accomplished. Since working in healthcare can be very demanding and stressful, this trial aims to see if support from fellow physicians can help reduce these burnout symptoms.
To participate in the trial, doctors must be working at Geisinger and have been in practice for at least six months. However, those currently receiving professional coaching or planning to leave the Geisinger system within a year are not eligible. Participants can expect to receive peer coaching, which involves guidance and support from their colleagues, to help them cope with the pressures of their job. This study is important because it seeks to improve the well-being of healthcare providers, ultimately benefiting both doctors and their patients.
