ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a treatment for teenagers aged 12 to 18 who have missing upper front teeth, known as incisors. The study involves 24 participants who will be divided into two groups. One group will receive a type of dental bridge called a resin bonded bridge (RBB) without any preparation of the surrounding teeth, while the other group will have a similar bridge with minimal preparation. Over the course of a year, researchers will check how well the bridges stay in place, whether they affect the patients' speech or sensitivity to temperature, and how satisfied the patients are with the treatment.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be between 12 and 18 years old, have a full set of permanent teeth, and have a missing upper incisor without any active dental problems, like cavities or gum disease. It’s important that they can come back for regular check-ups during the year. People with certain dental issues, serious health conditions, or those with other missing teeth that could affect the bridge are not eligible. Overall, this trial aims to find the best way to restore smiles for young people with missing teeth, helping them feel more confident and comfortable.
