ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating two different methods of helping patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) clear mucus from their lungs. The study will compare traditional postural drainage, which involves positioning the body to help mucus move, with postural drainage that also includes percussion, where gentle tapping is used to loosen the mucus. The goal is to see how these methods affect breathing difficulties, quality of life, and the ability to clear mucus.

To participate in this trial, individuals should be between 35 and 65 years old and have experienced worsening symptoms of COPD in the past month. They must also have significant mucus build-up in their lungs and be diagnosed with Stage 2 COPD. Participants will complete questionnaires to assess their breathing and quality of life before and after the treatments. It's important to note that certain individuals, such as those on specific medications or with severe health conditions, will not be eligible for this study. If you are interested in learning more or think you might qualify, please discuss it with your healthcare provider.
