ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how radiotherapy, a type of treatment that uses high-energy rays, can help relieve pain and improve symptoms in people with arthritis in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), which is the joint that connects your jaw to your skull. Researchers will keep track of any side effects from the treatment and how well it helps with pain relief. Participants will fill out questionnaires to report their symptoms and rate their pain, helping the team understand the impact of this therapy.
To join this study, participants need to be at least 50 years old and have been diagnosed with TMJ arthritis by a qualified oral surgeon or dentist. Unfortunately, individuals who have previously received radiation treatment in the same area cannot participate. Those who take part can expect to monitor their symptoms closely and contribute to important research that could lead to better treatment options for TMJ arthritis in the future.
