ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a surgical technique called MPFLR (medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction) using a tissue graft from a donor, along with a specific procedure to reposition a part of the knee called the tibial tuberosity. The goal of the study is to see how effective this combined approach is for individuals who have experienced repeated dislocations of the kneecap (patella) and have not found relief through other non-surgical treatments.

To participate in this trial, you should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have had problems with your kneecap repeatedly dislocating. Unfortunately, if you have active inflammation in your knee, have had previous surgeries on your patellofemoral joint, or have fractures around the knee, you won’t be eligible to join. If you do participate, you can expect to undergo this specific type of surgery and be monitored for its effectiveness in improving your knee stability and overall function. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to help improve treatment options for those dealing with this challenging condition.
