ClinConnect Summary
**Summary of the Trimodal Prehabilitation Clinical Trial for Colorectal Cancer Patients**
This clinical trial is exploring a new approach called "trimodal prehabilitation" to see if it can help patients undergoing major surgery for colorectal cancer. Trimodal prehabilitation combines three important areas: exercise, nutrition, and mindfulness coaching. The aim is to improve patients' physical and mental health before surgery, which may lead to better recovery outcomes. Researchers want to find out if this program can be successfully integrated into the current healthcare system and if it helps reduce complications and hospital stays compared to patients who did not participate in the prehabilitation program.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be 18 years or older and scheduled for major colorectal surgery, such as colectomy or low anterior resection. Those who are not comfortable participating or cannot understand the study materials in English are excluded. If you join the study, you can expect to engage in activities that support your physical and mental well-being before your surgery. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it's a great opportunity to potentially improve your surgical experience and recovery.
