**Clinical Trial Summary: Quantitative Neuromuscular Monitoring and Gastric Bypass Surgery**
This clinical trial is looking at how careful monitoring and management of certain medications during surgery can affect recovery for patients having laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery. Specifically, it focuses on a medication called Sugammadex, which helps reverse the effects of muscle relaxants used during the procedure. The study will compare patient outcomes before and after implementing these monitoring guidelines to see if they make a difference in recovery.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be over 18 years old and scheduled for an elective laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery. Unfortunately, those who are pregnant, have significant lung diseases, or require supplemental oxygen before surgery cannot participate. If you join the study, you will be monitored closely during and after your surgery to help gather important information on how these guidelines impact your recovery. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and anyone interested should discuss it with their healthcare provider to learn more.
