ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether taking a daily capsule of probiotics can help relieve symptoms of dry eye. Dry eye can cause discomfort and vision problems, and this study aims to see if the probiotics can improve the health of the eyes by examining various factors, such as tear volume and quality. Participants in the trial will be adults aged 20 to 65 who have been diagnosed with dry eye, specifically those showing certain signs of the condition.
If you qualify for this study, you'll be asked to take one probiotics capsule each day for 35 days. During this time, the researchers will check your eye health before and after the trial to see if there are any improvements. To join, you need to meet specific criteria, such as having a certain level of tear production or eye discomfort. However, some individuals—like those with certain eye diseases, chronic health issues, or those in vulnerable situations—won’t be able to participate. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it could be a promising opportunity for those struggling with dry eye symptoms.
