ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special online therapy program designed to help women with Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD). The program includes eight weekly sessions, each lasting two hours, where participants will learn about their condition, develop skills to manage their symptoms, and share experiences with others in a supportive group setting. The therapy uses techniques from different approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps people change negative thoughts and behaviors, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which encourages individuals to accept their feelings rather than fight them. Participants will fill out online surveys before, during, and after the program to track their symptoms and overall well-being.
To join the study, participants must be at least 18 years old, speak English fluently, have a doctor's diagnosis of PGAD, and live in Ontario, Canada. They should also feel comfortable discussing their health and experiences in an online group setting. Throughout the trial, participants can expect a safe space to learn and connect with others facing similar challenges while contributing to important research that could help improve treatment for PGAD.
