ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well the median nerve works during a specific test called Phalen's test, which looks at wrist flexion. This test is often used to help diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome, a condition that affects hand and wrist function. Researchers will use special tests called electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) to measure the nerve's performance in different wrist positions.
To participate in this study, you need to be a healthy adult between the ages of 18 and 45 with no history of hand or wrist disorders. Unfortunately, if you have certain medical conditions that affect your nerves or muscles, or if you can't have EMG or NCS tests for any reason, you won’t be eligible. If you join the trial, you'll be helping researchers understand more about median nerve function, which could lead to better diagnosis and treatment for conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome in the future.
