ClinConnect Summary
The MOVIN' CARE for PD trial is studying how two mind-body approaches—yoga and arts-based activities—can help improve the overall well-being of people living with Parkinson's Disease (PD). The researchers want to see if these activities can make a real difference in areas such as mental health and social connections, as well as help manage PD symptoms. The study will involve several assessments over nine months to track changes and effects.
To participate, individuals need to be at least 18 years old and diagnosed with mild to advanced Parkinson's Disease. They should be able to walk independently for at least 3 meters and have access to the internet, as the study will likely involve online components. However, those with significant cognitive impairments or who have recently taken part in similar activities or studies may not be eligible. Participants can expect to take part in yoga or arts-based sessions and will have their progress monitored throughout the study to see how well these interventions work.
