ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to study how a specific measurement called the renal resistive index can help predict kidney problems in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, a condition that causes joint inflammation and pain. Researchers want to find out if this index can be an early warning sign for kidney issues in these patients. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to include individuals aged 65 to 74 who have rheumatoid arthritis, whether or not they currently have kidney problems.
To be eligible for the study, participants must have rheumatoid arthritis and some may be taking medications for their condition. However, individuals with other serious conditions, such as diabetes or liver disease, will not be able to participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo assessments related to your kidney health, but details about the exact procedures will be provided by the research team. This trial is important because it could lead to better ways to monitor and manage kidney health in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
