ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a new teaching method can help medical students learn surgical skills more effectively. Traditionally, students learn from experienced surgeons who guide them through the process, pointing out mistakes and explaining the right techniques. This trial is testing an advanced artificial intelligence system that gives verbal instructions when a student makes an error. Researchers want to see if adding a pause during these instructions helps students learn better, especially in a simulated surgery task where they practice removing a tumor.
To participate in this study, you must be a first or second-year medical student enrolled in a school in Quebec. If you're interested, you should not have participated in any previous trials using a specific surgical training simulator. If you join the study, you can expect to practice surgical techniques in a safe environment while receiving feedback from the AI system. This trial will help understand how teaching methods can improve surgical training for future doctors.
