ClinConnect Summary
The CURATE.DTx trial is studying a new tool designed to help detect and manage delirium, a serious condition that can affect older patients in the hospital. This tool is a fun and interactive game played on a tablet, which uses smart technology to adjust the game's difficulty based on each player's needs. The goal of the study is to see how well this game works for screening and helping patients who are at risk for delirium while they are hospitalized.
To be eligible to participate in this trial, you need to be at least 65 years old and admitted to the medical ward at SGH, with a life expectancy of at least one month. Unfortunately, pregnant or breastfeeding women, those who can't use tablets due to physical limitations, or individuals who do not understand English won't be able to join. If you take part in the trial, you can expect to use this innovative game while receiving care in the hospital, and your feedback will help improve how delirium is managed in the future.
