ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different surgical techniques for fixing specific types of fractures in the pelvis, known as quadrilateral plate fractures. The researchers want to find out which method—placing the plate above the pelvic bone (supra-pectineal) or below it (infra-pectineal)—provides better results for patients. The goal is to help doctors improve treatment outcomes for people with these kinds of injuries.
To participate in this study, individuals should be between 16 and 60 years old and have certain types of fractures involving the front and possibly the back of the pelvic bone. However, those with open fractures, other serious injuries to the pelvis or internal organs, or those outside the age range will not be eligible. Patients who join the trial can expect to receive one of the two surgical treatments and will be monitored to see how well they recover. This study is currently active but not looking for new participants at this time.
