ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring whether adding Pilates exercises can help men recover from sports hernias more effectively than traditional rehabilitation alone. A sports hernia is a type of injury that occurs in the groin area, often affecting athletes. The study is currently recruiting male participants aged between 18 and 45 who have been experiencing their sports hernia for two to ten weeks. To join, individuals need to be able and willing to commit to the Pilates exercise program throughout the trial.
Participants in the trial can expect to attend sessions where they will engage in Pilates exercises designed to aid their recovery. It's important to note that individuals with certain pre-existing injuries or conditions that could interfere with Pilates, or those currently involved in other intense exercise programs, are not eligible to participate. The goal of this study is to see if Pilates can make a significant difference in the healing process for those suffering from this type of injury.
