ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a specific type of exercise called inspiratory muscle strength training can help healthy adults with forward head posture (FHP). FHP is when the head is positioned in front of the shoulders, often due to long hours spent on computers and smartphones. The researchers are looking for participants who have a certain neck angle and are generally healthy, without any serious medical conditions. Eligible participants will be between the ages of 65 and 74, and they will be divided into two groups based on their neck angle.
Those in one group will do inspiratory muscle strength training for six weeks, while the other group will not receive any training. Before and after the training, all participants will undergo various tests to measure their posture and breathing strength. This study aims to determine if the training can improve the posture and breathing efficiency of those with forward head posture. If you're interested and meet the criteria, this could be a great opportunity to contribute to understanding how to improve posture and overall health.
