ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new type of bassinet called the Couplet Care bassinet, which is designed to help new mothers and their babies during their hospital stay after childbirth. The main goal is to find out if using this special bassinet leads to better outcomes for mothers and their infants compared to the regular bassinet. Researchers will gather information from mothers about their experiences, including how well they slept, how easy breastfeeding was, and their overall satisfaction with the bassinet. They will also look at hospital records to assess additional results and survey hospital staff about their experiences with this new bassinet.
To participate in the trial, mothers need to be at least 18 years old, able to communicate in English, and should have just given birth. However, mothers who had twins or more, or whose babies are not staying in the same room due to health issues, will not be eligible. If you decide to join this study, you can expect to share your feedback on the bassinet and help researchers understand how it affects your time in the hospital with your baby.
