ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how specific foot exercises can help improve a common foot condition in children called pes planovalgus, or flat feet. The researchers want to find out if two different exercise programs—one focusing on strengthening small muscles in the foot and the other including exercises for larger muscles—can help increase the arch of the foot in children aged 4 to 7 who have this condition. Flat feet can affect how children walk and balance, so this study aims to see if these exercises can make a difference in their stability and overall foot health.
To participate in the trial, children must have flat feet and be between 4 and 7 years old, with a normal body weight for their age. However, children with certain conditions like severe leg or foot deformities or any serious health issues will not be eligible. Participants will take part in exercise programs designed to strengthen their foot muscles, and the results will help researchers understand the best ways to support children with flat feet. This study is important because it addresses a gap in research about effective treatments for young children with this condition.
