ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a special scoring system called the ICCO score to help predict the outcomes for patients with liver cirrhosis who are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The goal is to see if this score can accurately predict how likely patients are to recover or face serious health issues while they are in the ICU. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it will involve adults aged 18 and older who have a confirmed diagnosis of cirrhosis and require intensive care due to complications from their condition.
To be eligible for this study, patients must have cirrhosis confirmed by medical tests and need close medical attention because of an acute illness related to their liver condition. However, patients who do not have a confirmed diagnosis of cirrhosis or those with certain other liver issues will not be included. Participants in this trial can expect to have their ICCO score calculated, which may help doctors better understand their health status and improve treatment plans. Overall, this study aims to enhance care for patients with liver cirrhosis in the ICU by providing valuable insights into their prognosis.
