ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to compare two different types of treatments—Albumin Platelet Rich Fibrin (Alb-PRF) and regular Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF)—to see which one helps reduce complications after a procedure called free gingival graft harvesting. This procedure is often necessary for patients who need gum tissue for dental reasons. The study will take place at Cairo University in Egypt and will involve 39 adult volunteers who are generally healthy and need this type of gum treatment.
If you participate in the trial, you'll first have some photos taken of your mouth, and then you'll be randomly placed in one of three groups: one group will receive Alb-PRF, another will get PRF, and the last group will receive a gelatin sponge. Throughout the study, you will be monitored for 28 days after the procedure, during which you'll follow specific care instructions, take some pain relief if needed, and attend follow-up appointments to check on your healing. To be eligible, you must be over 18, not smoke, and have good oral hygiene. This trial aims to find the best way to support recovery after gum surgery, so your participation could help improve future treatments for others.
