ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how a Virtual Reality (VR) Training Program can help improve thinking and memory skills in people with Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Alzheimer’s is a common type of dementia that affects many older adults. The VR program uses interactive video games to create realistic environments where participants can engage in activities that may help their cognitive abilities and overall brain health.
To participate, individuals must be at least 55 years old and have a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease confirmed by a neurologist. They should also score 16 or higher on a cognitive test called MOCA and have a clinical dementia rating of less than 2. However, those who have serious mobility issues, significant problems understanding language, or major visual or sensory impairments are not eligible. Participants in the trial can expect to engage in VR activities designed to stimulate their minds in an enjoyable way, and they will be closely monitored throughout the study to assess any changes in their cognitive abilities.
