ClinConnect Summary
The CLYMAX trial is a research study focused on understanding chemsex, which refers to the use of drugs during sexual activity, among young men who have sex with men (YMSM). This study is split into two phases. In the first phase, researchers gathered detailed information about the experiences of these young men, including why they might start or stop using drugs during sex, how it affects their health and relationships, and what kind of support services they need. The goal is to better understand their needs and how to create a helpful clinic for them.
In the second phase, the study will involve a larger group of participants and will look at the effectiveness of strategies designed to reduce harm related to chemsex. To be eligible, participants need to be males aged 16 to 35 who are currently using chemsex, can read and communicate in Thai, and are willing to provide their consent to participate. Those involved can expect to share their experiences and help shape services that could improve their health and well-being. This study is currently recruiting participants, and there are no specific exclusions for those who qualify.
