ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how an injection of a substance called platelet-rich fibrin can help improve the health of soft tissues around dental implants, especially in patients who have thin or inadequate gum tissue. Healthy gums are important because they help prevent problems like plaque buildup, inflammation, and loss of bone around the implants. The study will include 80 participants who are healthy, non-smokers, and over 18 years old, but who have less than 2 mm of gum tissue around their implants.
Eligible participants will undergo a procedure where this injectable treatment is applied to their gum areas around the implants. The trial aims to see if this treatment can enhance the thickness and quality of the gum tissue, which may lead to better overall oral health. If you or someone you know has thin gum tissue around dental implants and meets the age and health criteria, this trial may be a good opportunity to explore.
