ClinConnect Summary
The IMPACTFrail program is a clinical trial designed to help older adults in Singapore who are experiencing mild frailty, which means they may have some difficulties with daily activities. The program aims to identify and manage what’s called "intrinsic capacity," which refers to the physical and mental abilities that help people stay healthy as they age. In this trial, researchers will work with older adults who score a level 4 or 5 on the Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS), which is a tool used to assess how well someone is doing in their daily life. Participants will go through a series of assessments and receive personalized support to manage their health better.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 60 years old, have a CFS score of 4 or 5, and not have had a comprehensive geriatric assessment in the past year. The trial will include about 30 older adults from various polyclinic sites. Participants can expect to share their experiences and feedback about the program, which will help researchers understand how well it works and if it should be expanded in the future. This study is important because it aims to improve the health and well-being of older adults by providing tailored support based on their individual needs.
