ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of a treatment called Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections for men with Peyronie’s disease, a condition that causes curved erections due to scar tissue in the penis. The trial aims to understand how effective PRP injections are and to identify any challenges that may come up when conducting a larger study in the future. Participants in this pilot study will help researchers prepare for a more extensive trial by providing feedback on the injection process and how well the treatment works.
To participate in this trial, men must be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosis of Peyronie’s disease without any active pain or worsening curvature for the past three months. Eligible participants should have a penile curvature between 30 and 95 degrees. However, those with certain conditions, such as erectile dysfunction that doesn’t respond to treatment, severe plaque calcification, or a history of penile injuries, cannot join. If you take part, you can expect to receive PRP injections and help researchers learn more about this potential treatment for Peyronie’s disease.
