ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how the position of patients during a specific kidney stone surgery called retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) affects the chances of being stone-free afterward. The researchers want to find out if a modified position, where the patient is tilted at a 30-degree angle with the surgical side elevated, leads to better outcomes compared to the standard position. They will also look at whether there are any differences in complications that might arise from using these two positions.
To participate, you must be an adult with one or more kidney stones that are not larger than 2 centimeters. You'll need to give your consent to join the study and undergo the surgery. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the standard or modified position, and follow-up imaging will be done after the surgery to check if the stones have been successfully cleared. This study aims to enhance treatment techniques for kidney stones and improve patient results.
