Flipped Learning Postpartum Hemorrhage Midwifery Education Clinical Self Efficacy

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new teaching method called "flipped learning" to improve the education of midwifery students, specifically focusing on their knowledge and skills related to postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), which is a serious condition that can occur after childbirth. The goal is to see if this approach helps students learn better and feel more confident in managing PPH, ultimately aiming to reduce maternal deaths. In traditional education, students often listen to lectures and then try to apply what they've learned on their own. In contrast, flipped learning encourages students to review materials at home and use classroom time for discussions and hands-on practice, which can lead to better understanding and retention of skills.

To participate in this trial, candidates need to be third-year students in the Midwifery Department at Gülhane Health Sciences Faculty who have already completed a course on normal births and agree to take part in the study. Students who have been absent from training sessions or who haven't successfully completed the necessary courses are not eligible. Those who join can expect to engage in a more interactive learning experience, which might help them feel more prepared and capable as future midwives. This study is important as it aims to enhance midwifery education and ultimately improve care for mothers during and after childbirth.
