ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how listening to a podcast can help nursing students learn to change stoma bags, which are used for patients who have had certain surgeries. The trial will involve 80 first-year nursing students from Necmettin Erbakan University. These students will be randomly divided into two groups: one group will listen to a specially created podcast about stoma care, while the other group will not receive any extra training besides standard classroom instruction. Researchers will evaluate the students' knowledge and skills before and after the training to see if the podcast helps them learn better.
To participate in this study, students must be first-year nursing students taking the Fundamentals of Nursing course for the first time and must be willing to take part. If a student has transferred from another school, struggled with understanding Turkish, or missed any part of the research process, they will not be eligible. Participants can expect to learn about stoma care through both classroom lessons and the podcast, and their progress will be assessed to understand the effectiveness of using podcasts in nursing education. This research aims to improve teaching methods in nursing and contribute valuable information to the field.
