ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a special type of exercise program, called High-Intensity Functional Training (HIFT), can help people with Parkinson's disease improve their physical and mental abilities. Parkinson's disease affects movement and can also lead to memory and thinking problems. The researchers believe that HIFT, which involves a variety of exercises that mimic everyday activities, might be more beneficial than other workout methods because it focuses on improving coordination, agility, and balance, helping participants feel more confident in their daily lives.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between 45 and 80 years old, have a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease at an early stage, and be able to walk independently for 10 minutes. They should also be regularly exercising. Unfortunately, people with certain medical conditions that limit their ability to exercise, severe balance issues, or significant cognitive challenges will not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in an exercise program designed specifically for their needs, and the trial is currently looking for volunteers. It's a great opportunity for those who want to take an active role in managing their Parkinson's symptoms while contributing to important research.
