ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a specific test called ROTEM, which measures blood clotting, can help predict bleeding problems in patients who are undergoing heart surgery that requires a heart-lung machine. The researchers want to find out if the results from this test can show which patients might experience excessive bleeding during or after their surgery and how these bleeding issues could affect their recovery.
To be part of this study, participants need to be adults aged 18 or older who have had heart surgery using a heart-lung machine. However, those who did not have the ROTEM test during their surgery will not be included. While the study is not currently recruiting participants, those who take part can expect their ROTEM test results to be analyzed in relation to their surgical outcomes and recovery, helping to improve care for future patients.
