ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding the reasons behind upper gastrointestinal bleeding, which is when there is bleeding in the upper part of the digestive system. Researchers at Assiut University Hospital will use a procedure called upper endoscopy, where a thin tube with a camera is inserted through the mouth to look inside the stomach and other parts of the upper digestive tract. This study aims to gather important information that can help doctors manage and treat this condition more effectively.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be adults over the age of 18 who are experiencing upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Unfortunately, individuals younger than 18 years old, pregnant women, and those with severe health conditions that wouldn’t allow for the endoscopy procedure cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo the endoscopy and provide information that will help improve understanding and treatment of upper gastrointestinal bleeding in the future. This trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to contribute valuable insights once it begins.
