ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how stress affects heart problems in patients with Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). PAD is a condition that occurs when the arteries in the legs become narrowed or blocked, which can lead to serious heart and limb issues. The researchers want to find out how different ways of measuring stress might relate to these heart problems in people with PAD. They hope to learn more about how stress contributes to cardiovascular events, which are serious health issues related to the heart and blood vessels.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have a confirmed diagnosis of PAD. This could be based on certain surgical procedures you've had, specific tests showing issues with your arteries, or symptoms like leg pain when walking. However, if you have certain heart conditions, like atrial fibrillation or are on specific heart medications, you may not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo various stress assessments and provide information that can help researchers better understand the link between stress and heart health in PAD patients.
