ClinConnect Summary
The SexOPK study is designed to explore how polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) affects women's sexual health. PCOS is a common condition that affects many women and can lead to hormonal imbalances, weight issues, and feelings of anxiety or depression. This research aims to compare the sexual function and emotional distress of women who have PCOS with those who do not have the condition. By gathering information through an online questionnaire, the study hopes to shed light on the sexual challenges faced by women with PCOS, which can help doctors provide better support and care.
To participate in this study, women must be adults, and those in the test group must have a medical diagnosis of PCOS. Women in the control group should not have PCOS. Unfortunately, individuals under legal guardianship or those who do not speak or understand French are not eligible. The study is currently not yet recruiting participants, but when it begins, those who take part can expect to complete a questionnaire that covers topics like sexual health, body image, and emotional well-being. This research is important as it aims to improve understanding and treatment for women facing sexual dysfunction related to PCOS.
