ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new device called the VeriTrack, which is designed to continuously monitor blood pressure without having to use a traditional arterial catheter (a thin tube inserted into an artery). The goal is to see how accurately VeriTrack measures blood pressure compared to the standard method. Researchers will check the readings from the VeriTrack device against those taken from the arterial catheter during surgery to see if they match closely.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult surgical patient who will have an arterial line placed for blood pressure monitoring. You should also be able to feel a pulse in your ankle (called the dorsalis pedis pulse) to ensure the device can be properly applied. If you have trouble feeling that pulse or have allergies to certain adhesives, you might not be eligible. Participants will wear the VeriTrack device during surgery and receive standard care with the arterial catheter. This study aims to find out whether the new device can provide reliable blood pressure readings that doctors can trust.
