ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in electrocardiograms (ECGs) can help improve the care of patients suffering from occlusion myocardial infarction (OMI), which is a serious type of heart attack. The goal is to see if AI can help doctors diagnose and treat these patients more quickly and accurately, especially since the trial will be part of a payment program that rewards better patient outcomes. The researchers want to find out if this approach makes a difference in how well patients do after their heart attack.
To participate in this trial, patients need to be in the emergency department and have had at least one ECG test. However, those who had a heart procedure called coronary angiography within the last three days or who received an ECG while the AI system wasn't active won’t be eligible. If you or a family member qualify, you can expect to have your heart health monitored closely, and your experience may help improve future heart attack treatments for others.
