ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Sleep Longitudinal Exploration of the Experience of Patients, is studying how surgery and general anesthesia affect patients' sleep quality, especially during the first night after surgery. Researchers want to find out what factors might impact how well patients sleep after their operation and how this might lead to feelings of drowsiness the next day. This is important because good sleep is crucial for recovery and can affect how well patients heal after surgery.
To participate in the study, you need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for surgery that requires general anesthesia, such as orthopedic or thoracic surgery. You should also be able to fill out a questionnaire about your sleep. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but if you join, you can expect to share your experiences and feelings about your sleep during the first night after your surgery. This research hopes to better understand sleep issues after surgery and improve patient care in the future.
